What you will need:
Android mobile device.
A rear facing camera is required for scanning.
Internet access will NOT be required for normal use.
An App to read QR Codes. Not all Apps are compatible with the MyTill program. I would recommend the QR Droid Code Scanner App free from the Google Play Store.
Optional. An App to read the four CSV files which will store your information. I would recommend the Jota Text Editor App available free from the Google Play Store.

Installing the MyTill App
The first step is to download and install the program. NOTE: Anyone installing the program (which is an ".apk" file) will need to change the setting on their phone/tablet to allow installation of non-market applications.
To find this setting on versions of Android prior to 4.0, go to "Settings > Applications" and then check the box next to "Unknown Sources". For devices running Android 4.0 or above, go to "Settings > Security" or "Settings > Security & Screen Lock" and then check the box next to "Unknown Sources" and confirm your choice.
The program will install four CSV files onto your device. These files can be edited by you and can be read by a spreadsheet program or the JOTA App mentioned below.
When the program starts, you will be prompted to register your program providing your Club Name and email address. When you register, you will receive by email the KEYS to your program in the form of QR Codes. These codes will enable you to edit and backup your information. You should retain this file containing the keys for future use.
After implementing these steps, you can continue to operate your program without internet access.
BACK-UP FILES
This function is available from this Information screen via the EDIT button at the bottom of the screen. The appropriate KEY (QR Code) will need to be scanned.
GIFT CARDS

These cards can be printed (Credit Card) for under $1 per card with QR codes, or print business card on cardboard for a cheaper option.
These are a great means of showing appreciation to volunteers.
